"Pretty stable in my experience"
I’ve been using Qt for my desktop app for a few months now, it’s been solid for me. Updates haven’t caused any major headaches, and when something does get a little weird, the docs usually get me close enough to figure it out. It’s not perfect, but from my point of view, the stability has been one of the better parts.

"Qt Creator was easier to use than I expected"
I expected qt Creator to be a bit harder to get comfortable with, but it’s actually easy to use overall. It’s a solid IDE, though it did take me some time to figure out where everything was. Once I got used to the layout, it felt straightforward

"Wish everything else was this straightforward"
The licensing was clear enough and I didn’t have any confusion with it. i kind of regret spending time worrying about it beforehand because it ended up being straightforward

"Docs are easy to use"
I was surprised how quick it was to find what I needed in the Qt docs. The examples were clear enough, and I didnt feel like I had to google every little thing just to keep moving...

"I was getting a bit impatient and just..."
I was getting a bit impatient and just wanted the issue fixed already, but support jumped in quickly and actually helped right away. Relieved it didn’t turn into a long back-and-forth.

"Ended up liking the docs more than I expected"
I’ve been messing around with Qt for the last few months, mostly bouncing between the docs, examples, and the usual tools while trying to get things working. At first I just wanted to look up a few basics, but I kept noticing that the examples were actually useful and the site wasn’t annoying to navigate. There are always a couple things you have to dig for with any dev docs, but overall it’s been a smooth experience and everything feels solid.

"Really helpful for packaging, just a little confusing at first"
I mostly use qt.io to get my app built and packaged for different platforms, it works well once everything is set up. The deployment docs were actually really helpful when I ran into some missing DLL problems.
The Qt installer and package options are decent, but it can feel a bit much at first. There are just so many steps and different places to check that it’s easy to get a little lost.
Overall, it’s a very useful tool and I’m glad it’s there, but I wouldn’t say it’s always super beginner-friendly. Still, it does the job well enough for me, so I’d give it 4 stars.

"Good for building across different platforms"
Qt has been handy for our app because we need it to run on Windows, macOS, and Linux. A lot of the time, we can use the same code without too many changes, which saves us a bunch of time and headaches.
That said, it’s not always totally smooth. Some of the setup steps and random platform-specific quirks can get frustrating. Has anyone else run into those little platform issues too? Overall though, it does what we need, so I’d give it 4 stars.

"Good value, not exactly cheap"
I’ve been using Qt for a small app project. Happy with it. The tools are stable, and they save me time.
Price is the only real catch. It feels fair, but not cheap. For a small team, it can still hurt a bit.
Still worth it for me. Building all this from scratch would be worse. 4 stars because I wish the pricing was a little easier.

"Fast enough for me, honestly"
I don’t really get the complaints about qt.io being slow, because it loads fast on my end and usually feels smooth to use. The docs pages open quickly, and the search works decently enough for what I need. Sure, I’ve had a couple moments where a page lagged a bit, but it wasn’t some huge deal or anything. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid experience, even if it’s not completely perfect.

"Solid mobile support and a real time saver"
I’ve been using Qt for an Android/iOS app, it’s been smooth overall. A few setup headaches at the start. Nothing too terrible though. The docs and examples helped me get through it. Really nice not having to rewrite the same stuff for every phone platform.

"Commercial license has been painless"
We use Qt at work with a commercial license, and the management side has been smoother than I expected. I tend to remember the annoying parts of tools like this more than anything else, but nothing major really sticks out here. Renewals have been straightforward, adding seats wasn’t a hassle, and the admin portal makes enough sense once you’ve poked around a bit. I did have one billing question, and support got back to us quickly. The UI isn’t perfect in every spot, but overall it’s been easy to deal with and has saved us time.

"Mostly steady, with a couple little surprises"
The API has been consistent for me overall. Like, most of the time it just does what I expect and I don’t really have to think about it, which is great. There have been a few small surprises here and there, but nothing major enough to be a dealbreaker

"Pretty good once it finally clicks"
The Qt docs were helpful, but the first couple of weeks had me confused and slightly annoyed. I was ready to say it wasn’t for me, and then suddenly things started making sense and I was like, okay, wait, this is actually good

"I’ve been using Qt for a while now..."
I’ve been using Qt for a while now, the updates have been smooth overall. The release notes are usually clear enough, and I don’t run into weird breakages very often after upgrading. It’s not perfect every single time, but in general the release quality feels stable and dependable

"Good docs and a helpful forum"
I mostly use qt.io for the docs and to look around for community answers. I can usually find about what I need, and the examples are really helpful. Some older forum threads can be a bit confusing though, but overall it’s a solid place for Qt stuff

"I’ve been using Qt’s design tools while building..."
I’ve been using Qt’s design tools while building a small app, the experience has been really good. The drag-and-drop workflow makes putting screens together a lot faster, and moving back and forth between the visual design side and the code hasn’t been nearly as annoying as I expected. A few things took some trial and error to understand, but the docs got me through it. Overall, it feels reliable, stable, and genuinely helpful once you get into the flow.
